The CAG Carbon One tailpiece is based on carbon fibre, hardly used in the world of musical-instrument fitting. As well as providing exceptional technical performance, the Carbon One tailpiece is made of high quality Aerospace-Grade carbon fiber. To form the Carbon One tailpiece, thin sheets of carbon fibres are compressed at a controlled temperature under high pressure together with a high-end polymer, which binds the composite material, making it even stronger and more durable. With this structure, the mechanical properties of Carbon One tailpiece are much higher than those of sintetic materials or of other nature wood-based materials used in the world of musical-instrument fitting, such as plastic and ebony: Carbon One tailpiece is lighter than these and much more resistant to external solicitations, as well as being hypoallergenic, not subject to corrosion and makes instruments sound better.

The Carbon One tailpiece series has one model for full-size cello in 2 different texture available now in catalogue: one in unidirectional carbon fiber, has an uneven, ebony-like black appearance, which varies according the cutting of the material. Another with a layer of woven-carbon-fiber covered outside offers a traditional woven carbon fiber texture.
